At the Blister Dam project located 64km northwest of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, twenty one individual prospects have been defined for drill testing with a combination of aircore (“AC”) and RC methods along two significant northwest trending mineralisation zones. Several targets occur on the well-known Zuleika Shear, where historic drill holes have intersected two distinct gold mineralisation styles; thin high grade quartz veins and shears zones hosting broad widths (>40m) of disseminated low grade gold.
The project is located on granted Exploration and Prospecting licenses forming a semi-contiguous land package of over 20km of strike situated 70km north west of Kalgoorlie. The tenure is located on and adjacent to the geologically and economically significant Zuleika and Kunnanalling Shears which hosts some of the highest grade underground mines currently in production including the Kundana and Frogs Leg mines.
Significant historic mineralisation has been intersected at the project including wide intercepts of low grade gold dipping to the south west. Holes intersecting 14m @ 2.91g/t Au from 63m and 27m @ 0.28g/t Au from 66m (EOH) indicated there is potential at depth.
The Argosy prospect has intersected 4m @ 4.82g/t Au from 52m and anomalous soils are worthy of follow up exploration. Intermin is planning to conduct significant auger sampling programs followed by targeted deep RC drilling in 2017.
